T&C Tower (85F, Kaohsiung)

Location: Kaohsiung City, Taiwan

Site Characteristics The western/southern Taiwan alluvial plain, consisting primarily of silty sand interbedded with sandy to clayey silt and silty clay. No distinctly competent bearing layer was encountered within the upper 100 meters.

Project Scale Superstructure: Main Tower: 85 Floors Twin; Podium: 35 Floors. Basement: 5 Floors, excavation depth GL.-23.1 m

Geotechnical Features Foundation system adopted a framed diaphragm wall configuration, integrated with a strengthened raft foundation. Ground beams were structurally connected to the perimeter diaphragm walls to form a unified structural system. At locations carrying heavy column loads, diaphragm wall barrette piles were constructed beneath the ground beams.A flat-bottom membrane was installed at the pile base, followed by base grouting to enhance end-bearing resistance.
