Project Scale Construction of a 13-story office building with 3 basement levels. Excavation depth is approximately 13.2 m below existing ground level.

Geotechnical Features The basement excavation was planned to be carried out without internal bracing. The diaphragm wall is 90 cm thick with an embedment depth of 23.6 m, and extends locally to 35 m in certain areas. Four internal cut-off walls, each 70 cm thick, were installed to depths of 7 m below the foundation level. Internal buttress walls were arranged along the site perimeter, 70 cm thick with lengths of 6 m or 12 m, spaced at approximately 8 m intervals. Their installation depths range from 3.7 m to 20 m below ground level. To reduce wall deformation and enhance the overall stiffness of the retaining system, a 50 cm thick temporary horizontal slab (6 m in length) was constructed at a depth of 3.7 m, connecting the diaphragm wall with the buttresses around the entire site perimeter.
