Project Scale Construction of sewer pipeline using shield tunneling method

Geotechnical Features The entire sewer alignment was constructed using a shield tunnel. Five jacking-type caissons were employed as launching and receiving shafts to minimize ground disturbance and reduce potential adverse impacts on surrounding soil conditions during caisson installation.
